After School he studied Theology and completed in 1980. On his birthday 11th April 1982 he was ordained as a Pastor at the Pentecostal Protestant Church in Isando, Johannesburg.
Callie, as Pastor, ministered at the following churches: Kempton Park, Fochville, Springs, Phalaborwa, Secunda, and for the past 10 years, Pastoring the church in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
In the past 26 years Callie also served on the General Youth council as the Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. He also served on the executive Board of the Church Head Quarters during this time.
Callie did the Chaplaincy course in the year 2000, was elected to be District Chaplain in Middelburg. He has planted Chaplaincy's in nearby town like, Witbank, Secunda, Nelspruit, Standerton, Evander, etc. He was also elected as Regional Chaplain for Mpumalanga.
Callie was elected as Vice-President of the ESC(SA) in 2003. In the year 2005, he was elected as President of the Emergency Services Chaplaincy of Southern Africa.
